I know this book came out back in September, but still today is one of my favorites in the Dark Hunter series, and from where I see it, a key book in the turnaround of events that will happen in the DH world. Still waiting for the release of Time Untime, here is my ODE to another one of Sherry’s masterpieces:
I’m going to give Kenyon 4 stars for her effort. But in my heart she deserves more than 10. Some people wrote not so good reviews on this book, however mostly all have forgotten, that she mentioned back in Acheron’s book, that from that point forward the DH world would never be the same. Yes you would have thought only because she started with Greek mythology and majority of her characters are Greek, she would continue with that line, but no. From the moment she introduced the Were Hunters, which are not Greek (mostly the Peltiers) you could tell she wanted to venture outside that world. And for a person like myself who doesn’t know anything about Native American culture, you will find this absolutely entertaining. I didn’t care about Abigail, I honestly thought she was an Apollite until some of the flashbacks. But Sundown did justice for his character and I can say it was really enjoyable altogether. I have been waiting for him since Dance with the Devil and his small interaction in Zarek’s story. Of course, nobody falls in love with another person in 4 hours but there was a reason behind it if u believe that reincarnation theory. There is action, knowledge, power, humor, sassiness, and every element that makes Mrs. Kenyon books what they are: EPIC! Oh and the bonus scene just melt my heart.
Thank Mrs. Kenyon for redeeming the Heifer Goddess 🙂
